Its been so long since i last did a tag and i really love doing them! I’m one of those people that likes to take part in questionnaires and enjoys filling out forms, Who else likes stuff like that?

Anyways here are the questions 🙂 

 1. When is your birthday?
November 8th 1993, yep that means I’m a scorpio 😉 

2. What are three of your favourite colours?
Black, white and grey – how exciting! 

3. What are three of your favourite quotes?

Well I’m watching it right now 🙂 YES!

5. What are 3 of your favourite shows on tv or youtube or both?
I love american horror story, the walking dead, pretty little liars, supernatural, zoella, pointless blog, mark ferris, brogan tate and velvet ghost. There are so many more and i was only supposed to pick 3 oops!

6. What are 3 qualities you like in a  best friend?
Trust and loyalty is a big one!!
Is as weird as i am and just gets me.
Someone whose gonna be around no matter what. 

7. Do you like your name?
I like my first name but I’m not keen on my middle name and my last name. 

8.  If you have the choice to pick your own name, what would it be?
I’d probably stick with Skye but change my other names i cant really think of one to be honest. If i have a daughter i’d love to name her Elsa. 

9. What is your fantasy dream?
To meet Jensen Ackles, DUH! 

10. Do you wear makeup?
Yes i love makeup! 

11. If you could write a book what would the title be and what would it be about?
It would probably be either vampire related or something about fairies i have no idea on a name though haha, i am not destined to be an author! 

12. What makes you cry?
Animals dying in films. 

13. What makes you angry?
Those horrible videos you see on Facebook of animal abuse or people getting beaten up. So nasty! 

14. What makes you happy?
seeing my family and friends happy and spending time with them. 

15. What is ‘fan girling’ ?
When you are so obsessed with someone that you freak out completely when you either see them or even hear their name being mentioned. You spend all your time just being infatuated with that person. 

16. What are your 3 favourite snacks?
Anything crisp related

My names Skye, Im 5ft short, i have blue eyes, blonde hair, I live with my partner Jonathan and our 1 year old son in Llandogo we also have two doggies a jackhuahua called Dolly and a pug called Pandora. 

20. what are 1o random facts about you?
I cant swim
I’ve fractured my arm, jaw and thumb.
I have a fear of octopuses.
I have OCD Mildly.
I only like cheese on certain things
When i was younger i used to smell my food before eating it.
Im quite a straightforward person
I haven’t got any tattoos
I had my nose pierced but had to have it surgically removed.
I love making lists.

1 year of blogging!

Hi guys! 

Sorry its been so long since i last blogged, i really need to make a point of doing it more often!! 

Anyways if you haven’t already guessed from the title its my blog’s 1st Birthday!!! YAY!!

I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone who has followed me, liked/commented on my posts and those who have just given me the support to keep my blog going. Without you guys i wouldn’t have this blog. 

So for all my fellow bloggers out there i just wanted to say keep doing what your doing, have fun with it and just do what makes you happy 🙂

Product empties!!

Hi everyone, I’mmmm back!!!

So i haven’t blogged in what seems like forever but has probably been like a month i think, i just haven’t been in the right frame of mind to blog lately so i thought i would take some time away from it because otherwise my blogs would have ended up being pretty rubbish i would imagine. 

Anyways enough of the rambling i have been getting through quite alot of my beauty products lately so i thought i would save them up and do a product empties post, and that’s what i’m doing for you guys now 🙂 enjoy…

Radox muscle soak with safe and sea minerals.
If you’ve never used this bath soak before i highly recommend you give it a try, they have quite a few different ones like a stress relief one i think there is a calm one also but i think the muscle soak is my favourite! It smells relaxing it feels relaxing its just perfect for those stressful days when you just want to soak in the bath and feel zen.
would you buy again?: yes i would you can normally pick them up for like a pound in your local supermarket and i just love the stuff.

Beauty protector body wash
I am loving this beauty protector brand i have two of their products which i’ve actually used up and are featured in this post. I think this brand is exclusive to birch box but don’t quote me on that one i got this in a birch box anyways. This honestly smells incredible i can’t describe the smell its just amazinggggg!! i was sad to use this up because i loved the smell that much. It also lathered up really well and the smell lingered on my skin also.
Would you buy again?: yes i would if it was easier to come across.

Bio oil.
This is my absolute holy grail product!! Especially after having my son because i do have alot of stretch marks particularly on my stomach and this stuff works a treat at making those marks fade. Lets be honest it doesn’t completely erase them but it sure as hell makes them less visible. This stuff has many uses also its not just for stretch marks you can use this for dehydrated skin and uneven skintone.
Would you buy this again?: Definitely! i am forever repurchasing this like i said its one of my holy grail products. 

yves saint laurent, Black opium.
I am very sad that i’ve used up every drop of this perfume because i just adore it sooooo much! the bottle is sexy and glamorous i think this is a very sexy grown up scent. Its kind of sweet with a bit of a twist i am so bad at describing scents so I’m really not selling this product very well here *haha* just go and smell it.
Would you buy again?: I don’t tend to buy myself perfume but i would happily repurchase this.

Beauty protector protect & detangle leave in conditioner.
Another beauty protector product like i mentioned before i love the brand this has the same sweet kind of scent that the body wash has, i liked using this after i washed my hair because it gets so knotty and this just helped to get the tangles out plus it left my hair smelling so nice!
Would you buy this again?: like i said before if it was easier to get hold of i probably would.

Benefit pore fessional primer
This is definitely my favourite primer it just makes my face look flawless, my foundation sits nicely on top of it and it helps my makeup last longer, this is only a sample size because i got it in a set for christmas but i’m a big fan of this little beauty.
Would you buy this again?: yes i would because i loves it 🙂

Zoella scrubbing me softly body scrub
For those who don’t know i am a huge fan of Zoe Sugg particularly for her youtube channel but i also like her beauty products to, I really liked this scrub it wasnt to abrasive so i could use it daily (I didn’t but you could) it had a subtle sweet scent to it i liked that the scent wasn’t over powering or sickly. Basically it just did the job a scrub should do which is exfoliate my skin and leave them feeling baby smooth.
Would you buy this again?: Yes i would but i like to try out different brands.

The comforter shower cream.
I love love love the comforter bubble bar from lush in fact i think it was one of the first things i ever bought from there so when i saw they had brought out a shower cream i knew i had to buy it! however i was kind of disappointed with it i just found it was too runny and didnt lather up very well, it smelt lovely though but the consistency let this product down for me.
Would you buy this again?: No i wouldn’t

The british tag!!

Hi everyone, hope you’re all well 🙂

I decided it was time for me to participate in another tag and i came across this very fun looking one. Also seeings as i am British myself i thought it was a good idea to have a go! 

I love being British and i love British things, I love London, the queen, i like tea wouldn’t say i love it though, I love love love roast dinners!! Anyways enough of that because i’ll be discussing this in the questions, Lets go… 

1. How many cups of tea do you have a day? how many sugars?
   I don’t actually drink much tea, i have to be in the mood for a cuppa so i probably don’t even have one cup a week. When i do have one i have 1 or 2 sugars and i love dunking biscuits in them, in fact most of the time i only make cups of tea to dunk biscuits in *Yum*. 

2. favourite part of your roast?
Oh now I’m thinking back to the delicious carvery i demolished earlier on today and how insanely good it tasted!! Its a toss up between yorkshire puddings or roast potatoes, My mouth is watering!!

3. Favourite dunking biscuit?
I quite like a good old rich tea biscuit or a maryland cookie!! 

4. favourite quintessessentially British past time? 
What does that mean *haha* i even tried googling the word and still couldn’t figure out what this meant. Someone inform me please. 

5. Favourite word?
Although its rude i quite like the word ‘wanker’ *haha* wash my mouth out!! 

6. Cockney rhyme slang?
‘See you later alligator’ or ‘would you adam and eve it’ i had to look some of these up for example.

7. Favourite sweet?
I love pear drops, rhubarb and custard and sherbet lemons, although I’m more of a chocolate person.

8. What would your pub be called?
‘The skye’s head’ Oh how original I’m useless i guess something that involves an animal right? ‘The funky chicken’ perhaps. 

9. No 1 British person?
Aw its gotta be the queen ain’t it, she’s just brilliant and  i would love to meet her!! 

10. favourite shop / restaurant? 
I love a Toby Carvery or something that isn’t british at all i do love a cheeky nandos!! I do love some pub grub though. 

11. what british song pops into your head? 
Anything spice girls related ‘When two become one’ ‘stop right now thank you very much’ I had so much Spice girls memorabilia, Loved them!! 

12. marmite?
Oh my god yes!!! i have always been a huge lover of marmite growing up i was the only one in my house to eat it. I love marmite on toast, marmite sandwiches, twiglets and those walkers marmite flavoured crisps they brought out. Yum Yum!!!!

January Birchbox!

 

 

Hi everyone hope you’re all well 🙂

Im back with another unboxing of another awesome Birchbox, The theme of this month’s box is Pinterest (something I’ve never really understood). Once again i am really pleased with the goodies that have been provided in this months box and can’t wait to share them all with you!! Lets just press on…

A little Birchbox exclusive this month they’ve included one of these cute little compact mirrors in every box, Perfect for popping in your handbag and using for touch ups during the day. I am so glad i got this I’ve been needing a mirror for my bag for a while and just haven’t got round to picking one up so this has saved me the task of doing so. 

 

Beauty Protector, Protect & detangle } RRP £14

This smells divine!! and i love the packaging it has a kind of matte feel to it. My hair gets really tangled after its been washed so this should definitely come in handy, all you need to do is spritz some onto your hair after its been shampooed and conditioned and give it a comb through. 

 

Benefit They’re real tinted primer } RRP £18.50 

Wow wow wow!! I’ve already tested this out as i was pretty excited by it and I’ve already got the they’re real mascara so i thought i’d try them together and let me tell you they are a match made in heaven. If you want big dramatic lashes then this is brilliant you can use it with any mascara just apply this first like you would a normal mascara and then apply your favourite mascara over the top. 

 

Jelly pong pong lighten up brightener + waterline } RRp £14.95

As much as i love using a good old black eyeliner on my waterline sometimes its nice to go for a more natural look and use a nude eyeliner, they give a more wide eyed look and brighten up the eyes. You can also use this one on your cheeks and brow bones as a highlight. 

 

Absolution cleansing water } £27 

Pretty pricey for a cleansing water so I’m expecting good things from this product, if  a product performs well then i’ll splurge out on it i guess. It has quite a strange smell to it (in a nice way) it contains hazelnut oil and aloe vera so it should be very nourishing on the skin i would imagine.

 

Whish three wishes almond body butter } RRP £14.50 

The fact that it says almond already sounds heavenly to me, i gotta admit though i thought this was a foundation when i pulled it out of the box *haha*. It has a delicious sweet almond scent which i love! I’m looking forward to using this it contains organic aloe, shea and raspberry butter.

 

Another little extra they’ve included in this months box are these cute little postcards, I think I’m going  to stick them up on a wall somewhere perhaps around my dressing table. They are too cute to give away *haha*

Pandora the pug!

Hi guys hope you’re all well 🙂

Just wanted to do a quick little post and introduce you all to the new addition to the family, This is Pandora the pug! 

As you all probably know by now i am obsessed with pugs and have wanted one for as long as i can remember, She was a little present to myself for christmas and i have been saving up for her for quite some time now. She is only 8 weeks old so still only a little babba and she is quite the little madam let me tell you.

I would love to see all you guys pets and thought it would be a cool idea if we could introduce each other to our pets 🙂

What i got for christmas 2015!

Hi Everyone hope you’re all well and had an amazing christmas (and new year)

I’ve been meaning to get this blog post up for sometime now but i wasn’t sure on whether or not to upload it, just a little disclaimer this post isn’t me trying to brag about all the stuff i got, i personally love seeing what people got for christmas and so i thought i would share with you guys all the cool stuff  i got 🙂 

I got lots and lots of sweeties and chocolates off people i haven’t actually included them all in this photo this is just a few of the edible goodies i got. 

Jon got me this awesome ‘Central perk’ jumper, in case you guys don’t know central perk is the coffee shop in friends and i am a huge fan of friends!

Got lots of stationary including a 2016 diary, two new colouring books and some proper colouring pencils. 

I’ve recently become a bit obsessed with these ‘willow tree’ figures, and i ended up getting 3 for christmas i only got a picture of one though and this one is supposed to represent me, jon and jensen as a family. 

I got lots of goodies to use for my bath times including some ‘bomb cosmetics’ sets and this amazing 12 days of christmas Lush gift set 🙂

My mum got me this really pretty jewellery box to go on my dressing table, i love this shabby chic style and it goes with my bedroom perfectly!

In my stocking from Jon he got me these really cool coasters that you can put your own photos in, i cant wait to do these. 

As a tradition me and Jon always get each other a new fragrance for christmas this year he got me the alien perfume by ‘Thierry Muigler’ It smells incredible!!!!

Jon’s parents very kindly gifted me this incredible ‘Soap and Glory’ gift set i love soap and glory products and this set contains so much stuff its the best!

I just think this is soooo adorable its a fricking guinea pig money box!!! he came in a proper box and everything!

Its no secret that I’m a huge pug lover (even before they became so popular) my mum got me this really nice silver pug ornament he now sits on my side table in the living room 🙂

Another thing that I’m obsessed with are yankee candles and I’ve got quite a collection going at the moment, this one smells sooooo christmassy as the name would suggest it smells like cinnamon. It also came with a snowflake illuma lid but i am using it on another candle currently. 

Thats all the stuff I’m going to show you guys because otherwise this post would be too long and become boring, i was very spoilt by everyone and i am so so grateful for everything i have gotten. Jon got me an Xbox one and a bunch of cool games including guitar hero which i am super duper chuffed about!!

The christmas tag!

Hi guys!!! Hope you’re all feeling festive 🙂

There’s no question about it i was bound to have to do a christmas tag on my blog, I think every blogger has done one or is planning on doing one, and i love reading them!! 

1. Whats your favourite christmas film?
   I am a huge fan of the muppets christmas carol, ordinarily I don’t really like the muppets but i do love this film, i watch it every year on christmas eve without fail ‘Its going home and getting warm by the fire’ I cant wait to get Jensen to watch it this year with us! 
2. Have you ever had a white christmas?
   Im pretty sure i may have had one before but i honestly cant remember it always seems to snow in January where i live. 
3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
   With my family i don’t think id ever want to go away on holiday for christmas id much rather be in my own home 🙂
4. What is your favourite christmas song?
   Without a doubt George Michael ‘Last christmas’ I could listen to that song on repeat and never get bored of it! 
5. Do you open any presents on chirstmas eve?
   Yes my mum used to let us open one but now i live with my partner he lets me open one off him and vice versa. My mum also does us all a christmas eve box filled with sweets, hot chocolate, pjs and a film 🙂
6. Can you name all of santa’s reindeer?
   Not without searching for it but i’ll name the ones i can think of Rudolph,Dasher,Prancer,Blitzen,vixen,cupid and is there one called dancer as well? I’ve no idea if i even got those right *haha*
7. What holiday traditions are you most looking forward to?
   Going round my partner’s parents for dinner and then spending the evening at my mums house. Oh and the christmas eve box on christmas eve! 
8. Is your tree real of fake
   This year its fake because we don’t have the space in our new house but when we lived with my partner’s parents they normally got a real one.
   
9. what is your all time favourite christmas food/sweet or treat?
   Of course i love the chirstmas dinner itself i could so eat one right now!! making myself hungry *haha* I love tins of Celebrations and Roses, I love twiglets and cheeselets and i love festive friends i could go on…
10. Do you like giving or receiving presents better?
    I love giving presents because i love seeing people’s faces when they open their presents off me 🙂 its just a nice feeling.
11. What was the best christmas present you ever received?
    My Macbook pro that my partner got me back in 2013 i literally cried when i opened it because i never imagined he would get me one 🙂 
12. What would your dream place be to visit for the holiday?
    New York city! for definite i feel like this is probably gonna be everyones answer *haha*
13. are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
    Im not amazing at wrapping but I’m not bad either so I’m kind of in between. 
14. Most memorable holiday moment?
    My mum going into labour on christmas day! bless her she got through the entire day because she wanted to make sure we had our dinner had i been older at the time i would’ve cooked the dinner for her but i was younger, she held on till early hours in the morning boxing day and then had my little sister.
15. What made you realise the truth about santa?
    Wait santa’s not real *sobs*
16. Do you make new years resolutions?
    Yeah i do but sticking to them is a whole different story. Although i did make one to quit smoking like nearly 3 years ago and i stuck to that 🙂 Go me!
17. What makes the holidays special for you?
    Spending time with loved ones, watching christmas films just getting all cozied up 🙂 oh and large amounts of food 😉

American horror story!

Hello my little monsters (see what i did there) 

I wanted to do a blog post about a series that i am currently obsessed with! and so are many other people and thats ‘American horror story’.

I love the fact that each season of this series is a different story, you wouldn’t need to watch this series right from series one to understand it if you didnt want to, all the series have the same people in them just playing different characters in each one which i like.

American horror story murder house

Season 1 is basically about a couple (ben and vivien) having problems in their marriage and their daughter (violet) moving into a new house known as ‘the murder house’. I don’t want to go into too much detail as i dont want to leave any spoilers for those of you that havent watched it yet, but I’m going to do my best to explain a bit about each series. Anyways the family encounter the home’s former residents Constance and her two children Tate and Addie. Ben and Vivien are trying to rekindle their marriage as Ben had an affair with a student of his meanwhile violet (their daughter) is battling with depression, and finds comfort with Tate. the family eventually realise that the home is haunted by the ghosts of anyone that has ever died there.

I think this is my favourite season so far as i really love Violet and Tate’s relationship (even though its kind of messed up) i think they both play their characters extremely well!

Season 2 Asylum

As you probably guessed from the title this season takes place in a mental asylum (Briar cliff mental institution) the place is run by doctors and nuns, the wardens who run the institution include the lead sister Jude, Her protege sister Mary Eunice and the founder of the institution Monsignor Timothy Howard. Then you have phschiatrist Dr Oliver Thredson and Scientist Dr Arthur Arden. The patients claim to be unjustly institutionalised include lesbian journalist Lana Winters, Accused serial killer Kit Walker, Nymphomaniac shelley and alleged murderer Grace. The place has strange goings on and and is subject to supernatural and scientific influences, demonic possession and even alien abduction. 

I found this season to be the most chilling just because mental institutions freak me out and i find them so creepy. 

Season 3 Coven 

Coven is all to do with Witches and its basically to do with the ones that survived the salem witch trial. An all girls boarding school opens to protect and house the young women that carry the blood line and keep them from the dangers of the outside world. The supreme and most powerful witch of her generation Fiona arrives to to ensure the safety of the Coven but also to fulfil her own hidden agenda. Fiona’s daughter Cordelia teaches at the school, theres a new arrival Zoe Benson who goes to the Coven after having an accident with her powers. Events reveal a rivalry between the witches of salem and the voodoo practitioners of New Orleans, as well as a historic grudge between voodoo queen Marie Laveau and a serial killer Delphine Lalaurie. This season is all about Witchcraft, voodoo, racism and death. 

AHS cast Jessica Land, Kathy Bates, Sarah Poulson, Angelea Bassett and exec producers Brad Fulchuck and Ryan Murphy (in cap). Phortographed on the set of season 3 ‘Coven’ in New Orleans 9/29/13

Emma Roberts is in this season and she plays the bad ass bitch character really well and i didn’t imagine her being in a programme like this but she does it so well. 

Season 4 Freak Show

I was worried about watching this season as i’m one of those people that don’t like clowns and the clown in this is pretty bloody scary. Anyways this story is about a freakshow led by Elsa Mars, she dreams of finding homes for her “monsters” as well as her own fame. Conjoined twins Bett and Dot are taken to hospital Elsa sees the opportunity to get some more business for her freak show and convinces them to join her. Members of the freak show include Jimmy a boy born with lobster like hands, Jimmy’s mother the bearded lady, a troubled man Dell and his three breasted wife Desiree. They all have to battle with people making fun of them and persecute them based on their looks. 

I was very surprised to see the guy that plays Barney off how i met your mother appear near the end of this season but like Emma Roberts he plays his role so well. 

There is another series thats currently on Tv and thats season 5 Hotel which has Lady Gaga in it!!! I’m dying to watch this season but because i haven’t yet i thought i wouldn’t speak about it as i don’t know what the stories about and all that jazz. 

I hope i’ve done a good job at giving you a bit of an insight to what this shows all about I’m so glad i started watching it as it really is an awesome series and nothing like i imagined it would be. I highly recommend you giving it a watch especially if like me you love horrors, Plus Evan Peter’s is sooooooo gorgeous *drooling*.

The confessions tag!

Hi everyone, Hope you’re all well 🙂 

So i came across this tag and decided to give it a go, if any of you folks fancy giving it a go to then please do so and make sure to let me know so i can read them 🙂  

1. If you could get a tattoo, what would it be of?
I’ve wanted to get a tattoo now for many years but don’t have the balls to go for it, i’ve changed my mind alot on what i want to get also. I would love to get my sons name tattooed on me somewhere and i would also like a rose tattooed on my wrist, Maybe one day i’ll pluck up the courage and go for it. 

2. If you could get any fictional character(s) to come to your school who would it be any why?
I don’t go to school anymore so lets say they were coming to my house, I think i would pick Sam and Dean Winchester off Supernatural because I’m a huge fan of the programme and would love to meet them!!! 

3. if you could go back to any point in your life when would it be and why?
I wouldn’t want to go back and change anything because i believe that everything happens for a reason so if the question is that i wanted to relive something then i would go back to the moment i gave birth to my son because that was truly amazing and i would do it again in a heartbeat. 

4. If you could meet anyone and hang out with anyone for a day who would it be?
Again i would to hang round with sam and Dean Winchester, Keith Lemon, Alan Carr, the Kardashians (yes i do like them). 

5. if you could have any talent what would it be?
I would love to be able to either sing or dance really good i used to do alot of dance clubs i would love to join one again. 

6. If you could get anyone to fall in love with you who would it be and why?
I’m already in love but if we’re talking celebrities then hands down Jensen Ackles Aka Dean winchester off Supernatural. Wow these questions have similar answers 😉
